A free camp was conducted at Kalpakkam by Kalpavriksham Trust and Privaram Cancer Hospital, Valasaravakkam. The camp was organized by Dr. M. Banupriya, Dr Manikandan and team with the help of A.Jerina Hanifa, B.SW and D.Gayathri Dhanbal,B.Sc,BBA,PGDEA,Head of Pudhiya padhai Magalir munnetra nalasangam.The team gave free cancer screening for breast cancer, cervical cancer, oral cancer and skin cancer to 59 beneficiaries, total mammogram test - 45 and total Pap smear test - 35.The rural people were given awareness about cancer and importance of self breast examination. They were taught to examine their own breast for suspicious lumps.
